World Down Syndrome Day – 2022

Every year, on March 21, people all around the world come together to celebrate World Down Syndrome Day by wearing brightly colored, mismatched socks.  March 21 is symbolic because people with Down syndrome have 3 copies of their 21st chromosome. Socks were chosen because the karyotype of DS chromosomes actually looks like mismatched socks!

We have partnered up with John Lee Cronin, of  John’s Crazy Socks to raise awareness about Down syndrome.  John’s Crazy Sock’s is a father-son inspired venture.  John’s affinity for crazy socks paired with his love of making people smile made their mission clear: simply to spread happiness!

From now until March 21, you can order your sock’s online, and have them shipped directly to you.  John has graciously offered 10% of the proceeds back to the 3-21 Foundation from your order.  When placing your order HERE, you simply need to use our code FG-LPB22 in the CHARITY CODE field which is in the “Cart” page at the beginning of your transaction, in order for the proceeds to come back to our organization.   In addition, just for using our Charity Code, you will also receive a  FREE gift!

Together we can create a single global voice advocating for the rights, inclusion, and well-being of people with Down syndrome in our community and around the world.
